Michael Aitken
Mike founded Magus in 1998 after beginning his career in financial services in 1992. He has guided Magus through the many changes within the financial services industry and is committed to ensure that Magus’ clients receive the best advice, service and support, and that they enjoy their financial journey.
He has a real talent for extracting clarity from complexity, which enables his clients to gain confidence to take the necessary action to enable them to meet their financial commitments and to achieve their life ambitions.
His clients love his commitment, personal touch and energetic style.
He has extensive experience of working alongside clients such as entrepreneurs, wealthy individuals and their families and trustees by guiding them, personally and their businesses to achieve their long-term objectives.
He spends a proportion of his time working closely with third party professionals on behalf of clients ensuring they receive a truly holistic advisory process. He also assists in building commercially successful joint ventures between Magus and other professional advisers.
Before establishing Magus, Mike worked as a professional geologist in the oil industry in the Middle East and in a gold and nickel mine in Western Australia.
Mike is married with three boys and one daughter. He has a passion for playing the saxophone, sailing and travelling.
