Financial Planning Week (7^th to 13^th September) aims to help you make a difference to your life by taking some simple steps to improve your finances by linking your financial plans to what you want from life and giving you useful tips, tools and guidance.

Naturally Magus takes financial planning very seriously and we are pleased to see that the Institute of Financial Planning is running a week's generic information campaign.

We fully endorse the aims and the initiative of this campaign, however we would go further and make every week a financial planning week...financial planning is for life not just for one week!

The only downside of such an event could be the sheer information overload and not knowing what to do with the information you have gathered. It is vital to avoid ball chasing financial planning but drill down to the core values you have towards money and how you want money to help you in your life and not necessarily the other way round.

Having ones life journey integrated with your financial journey seems logical but the Financial Planning Week could be a good starting point.
